I attended Santa Rosa Junior College, transferred to Sonoma State University where I earned my undergraduate degree in mathematics. In 1990, I moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana to attend LSU, where I earned a masters degree in mathematics. I taught at LSU, then moved to the Atlanta area and taught at State University of West Georgia, followed by a move to Annapolis where I taught for seven years at Prince George's Community College. I ended my career in education as a Head of School at a Pk3-8th grade independent school in Annapolis, where I retired in 2014. Ben and I moved to Covington, Louisiana in 2016, where we raise chickens, vegetables, garden, and he plays in New Orleans while I paint and make sculptures in my art studio.
